- Well one of the things I'm sure you're going to think about as you get yourself started in this is how can be successful and how can I measure success. And I would say what my experience has shown is that the most successful people in teams start small and they start with a project that really drives value. So rather than spend a lot of time creating fancy reports and sending data out and giving people all sorts of PowerPoints and hoping they like it, which may or may not be successful, I would suggest you start with a project that is something that you know people need help with. Maybe it's quality of hire. Maybe it's analyzing advertising spending for candidate advertising. Maybe it's looking at retention data and correlating it to employee engagement data. Maybe it's doing a better job of making sense and using the data you're already collecting in your employee engagement survey. If you can do one project that's well respected and well understood your organization will come back…
