Senior teams at their best

- In an orchestra, you've got anywhere from 15 to 90 musicians all working together to create something gorgeous. As individuals, they've been practicing their whole lives to play one role. Just playing solo has been enough. They create beauty with just their instrument alone. Put a symphony together, though, you've got something amazing. If they're good. One bad musician, or a few out of sync, disaster. Organizational teams are exactly the same. You walk into a senior team with a whole career of expertise and knowledge. As a soloist, you've already proven yourself over and over. But it isn't the strength of individuals that will get your team where it needs to go. It's the interwoven talent of everyone on the team. That's why I connect senior team effectiveness with harmony. It isn't just about being good, you're already good. Team effectiveness is about creating connections and shared value with all of those around you. One bad team member or a few out of sync, disaster. We're going to look into senior team dynamics, the role you play on your senior team, and ultimately how you can be a driving force to creating harmony and success within that team. Like any great orchestra, it starts with focus, structure, and attention to the things that will get you there. So let's get to work.
