- Have you ever heard the famous saying, "When they go low, we go high?" In times of uncertainty, self leaders are the ones who go high and take responsibility for their values, thoughts, and actions without being directed by someone else. How do you go high when it feels like the world, or even just work, is on fire? You self-leadership when life is calm. On an ordinary Tuesday when you're bored at work and scrolling on the internet, pull out your journal or the voice memo app on your phone, and challenge yourself to answer the following three questions. What do you stand for and what do you stand against? When is it important to set boundaries, and when is it okay to let things slide? How do you know personally when it's right to speak up?
