See it, believe it, be it

See it, believe it, be it

- I wonder sometimes what led me into journalism and I think because we watch the news every evening, and my friends tell me that I used to imitate Barbara Walters. And in reflection, I think that that for me was the first time I saw a powerful woman on television, interviewing world leaders, talking and asking tough questions of the President of the United States. And so, when you can see a woman in a position of power, you can say, that's someone I'd like to be. And that's why we need more women in more positions of power not just in journalism, but in politics and business, because if you can see it, you can believe it, and our girls will want to be it. And so that's why I think everything the Matrix Awards are about is so incredibly important and why just generally speaking, we have to put womens in positions of power. One, because they deserve to be there, but two, that's the catalyst for change that we need.
