Scheduling downtime

- I once asked a group of people, how they find flow in their lives. Their responses ranged from gardening, dancing, creating music, writing, being in nature. One person's response surprised me, she said that she found flow by scheduling time. And yet when I reflected on this a bit more, it made a lot of sense. I imagine you have a busy schedule so in order to find flow, you first have to create time for it. Very often, you might find yourself running around busy with family and friends, consumed by work and other activities and there's simply no time left in your calendar. For many reasons, this way of being isn't conducive to flow. So while we schedule so many meetings and appointments, it's also really important to schedule downtime.
