- Once you've planted a seed and asked your boss or manager for feedback, it's now your responsibility to schedule the conversation. Don't assume that Julia is going to remember that you asked for feedback and come back to you in three weeks. You have to be the person to make this conversation happen. So schedule a time, and there are three things you should keep in mind when you do that. Let's look at each one of those. Number one, scheduling the actual conversation. This doesn't need to be a 90-minute sit-down in a very formal board room. Ask for 15 minutes of your manager's time. The goal is to make this easy on your boss or manager so this becomes a regular part of your conversation and dialogue.
