Most people don't realize that with every person we meet or know, we have a relationship capital bank account. It's a ledger that tracks our current position with that individual. Sometimes we have a lot of relationship capital in our favor and that person thinks the world of us. Other times, we may have a negative balance with that person. We've all been there. Your goal in building relationship capital is to make deposits by taking meaningful action that creates value for the other person or the other company, and a great way to do this is by shifting your mindset.
