- When you're asked to evaluate an innovative idea, what do you say more often, yes, if or no, because? For many of us, no, because has become our default. Unfortunately, this phrase shuts down collaboration and creativity and gets teams stuck in the status quo. Yes, if, however, is the language of an innovator, pointing to what needs to be done to keep an idea alive and gives ways teams can work together to make it a reality.
