- Good talent sometimes leaves. They find what they feel is a better opportunity, and they jump. That's normal and generally should be embraced, not looked at negatively. Today, we know that labor is very mobile. And few professionals stay in roles for long. So, smart organizations try to embrace this reality. You can begin by occasionally addressing the issue with your strong performers. Make it informal and do it only a few times each year. But do it. Tell them you know that the market is always looking for good talent. That you want to support their career, not just their current job.
