- So you decided to move forward with a GSA schedule. Great! Now, before anything else, you need to consider three things, eligibility, market, and resource. To be eligible, GSA requires two years in business and healthy financials. As far as market goes, you need to know where your product or service maps to the GSA schedules. Lastly, you need to make sure you have the infrastructure, capital, and time to pursue this option. Bear in mind, it can be costly. Research indicates some federal vendors spend 80 to 130,000 a year to earn their first order. Keep this in mind as you plan and budget.
