- While it's been nice taking conference calls in our pajamas, the reality is that most of us will be asked to go back to work at some point. And when that happens, many of us will be faced with a choice about how much information we're comfortable sharing with our employer about our health and COVID risk levels. So first let's tackle the health questions. Most companies will conduct temperature scans on a daily basis before allowing employees back into office buildings, or distribution centers, or even factories. And in the US, the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission has determined that, during the pandemic, employers can require employee temperature checks or testing without violating the Americans with Disabilities Act.
