- Now it's time to really start planning your future by building a career roadmap. Pull out the list of jobs that you made during the two previous exercises. Pick the job that sounds most interesting right now, and let's start doing some homework. Open up the O-NET website and in the upper right corner under Occupation Quick Search do a search for the job you chose. I'm going to search for supply chain manager. Now, click on some of the job titles that come up. Check to see whether the job duties accurately describe what you want to be doing. But also keep in mind that the O-NET data is based on large averages and it tends to be a bit old. Now, go to LinkedIn and search for job openings with those titles. Select jobs and then type in the title that you want to search for. You can narrow the search for your region too.
