- The one thing that's constant in any supply chain is change. And the way we implement change is through projects. That means there's a lot of great opportunities for project managers who have a good understanding of supply chains. What sorts of jobs are we talking about? Maybe we're changing suppliers or onboarding new customers, upgrading information systems, improving processes, or handling mergers and acquisitions. These are all projects and they can be short-term gigs or long-term assignments. They often involve travel and project managers may work on several of them at the same time.
