- Now you're ready to fill out the problem and solution prep worksheet. But I want to give you a few tips before you get started. First, I want you to think like the customer. Put yourself in their shoes. That's really important to look through things from their lens. Now if you're struggling to come up with that key problem, make sure you go out and you brainstorm, either brainstorm with customers or brainstorm with a friend that's going to think like one of your customers. Also make sure you get down to the core problem that the customer's having, that's so critical. There's going to be a lot of different problems you might be trying to solve, get down to the core problem. And actually make sure that the problem exists. I know it sounds very basic, but you got to make sure that customer's problems exist. And then make sure the problem statement, especially the solution statement, is tangible and specific.
