- So whether you're just starting out in your career or you're a seasoned manager, networking can be a really powerful asset and tool. I first realized the importance of it when I was at Time Warner listening to Pat Fili-Krushel, who's the number two at Time Warner, do a talk on how networking has impacted her career. And I remember being shocked, because she talked about doing two networking meetings every single day. And I remember thinking, how could she possibly have the time to do that? But I, in that moment, realized that I did need to make it a priority and I decided to start small. I made a commitment of doing one networking meeting every single week. So my commitment is that I would meet somebody new every week. I think it's really important with networking to understand your why. What do you want to get out of it?
