- Right now, the standard for project management is an exposure draft. That means it's available for any interested party to provide comments. Given that we expect several thousand comments, it's a sure bet there will be some changes to the project delivery principles. Though the final version is still in progress, I'm excited to share with you the preliminary principles that went out for review. A principle is a broad statement that guides our thoughts and actions. They're a fundamental value or truth. The project delivery principles provide parameters or guidelines for our behavior. They're not prescriptive. In other words, they don't say you must do this or you can't do that, but they shape our behavior and our actions.
