- [Instructor] These days it's easy to work so hard that you can drive yourself to the brink of exhaustion. Obviously, that's no good for anyone. Here are three ways to maintain optimal motivation while pacing yourself so you don't burn out. First, perform periodic resets. Just like you need to turn off your computer and reboot it from time to time, you need to do the same for yourself. If you've been sitting at your computer all day, make sure to stand up and stretch or take a walk or move around and take a dance break. You need to be able to look at things with fresh eyes. Second, draw boundaries. Especially if you're working from home, it gets really easy for the lines to blur. Where does work end and not-work begin? You might be working late, on weekends, through meals, and all of that is fine sometimes, but it's not sustainable as a way of life, so it's useful to put parameters around what you're doing for your own…
