Practice makes a habit

- Hi there. Darryl from Chill. In relationship to meditation, practice does not make perfect, practice makes habit. There's less of a need to do something perfectly to do something right versus wrong. What we're interested in here is cultivating a habit of being mindful, cultivating a habit of being present. It's in this present moment where you can fully respond to what is in front of you, whether it be something that stresses you out or something that makes you calm. One of the biggest misconceptions in mindful meditation is that you're trying to get somewhere that there's a destination in mind that you get to, or that you could do this right or that you could do this wrong. I invite you today to let go of the idea and notion of performance and embrace the notion of practice and exercise.
