- We've come a long way in terms of respect…for everybody's background, aspect, and world views.…But have we sometimes gone too far…when it comes to political correctness?…Don't be afraid to speak openly…about differences and problems in the workplace…with your colleagues or boss.…Americans are very politically correct,…which doesn't always help…or promote change or communication.…
Similarly, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Indian people…tend to avoid conflict…and especially contradicting other people.…No in these cultures is rarely used as an answer.…They'd rather use expressions such as maybe, possibly, etc.…This means that a team manager…will need to encourage team members…to be open at all times about improvements to be made…and issues to be solved.…
Other cultures such as German, Norwegian, and Dutch…are much more direct and will be very straightforward…when it comes to communicating in teams…and will expect the same from other people.…I had some issues months ago with the care of the classrooms…in my language school.…
