Planning a vision workshop

- Getting everyone to agree on a vision statement is not as easy as it sounds. Stakeholders often have very different viewpoints, and therefore, different visions. Visioning workshops should be held during the concept phase of the program to help create a shared vision among stakeholders. Its primary aim is to describe the destination the organization is planning to get to before planning how we will get there. So, let's start by talking about who we should invite to this workshop. The senior sponsor for the program should be the primary attendee, as they're usually responsible for creating the vision statement. Business change managers can describe the improvements expected from the program, as they'll be delivering the program changes into their business units.
