- [Narrator] When you're feeling unmotivated, time is not your friend. That's why one of the smartest ways we can harness our motivation is to map out our time and plan it strategically. Here are three ways you can do it. Number one, an easy thing to do, which so few people bother with, is estimating the time that each task will take you. This is helpful because you can estimate the scope of the challenge. If you know, you have 100 hours worth of work and only 40 hours to spend on it, that gives you ammunition to go to your boss and either ask for more time or ask if another team member can be called in to help. Alternately, estimating how long certain projects will take helps you identify small pockets of time you can use effectively. That spare 15 minutes between meetings might have been squandered in the past, but now you know exactly what to do because you have a 10-minute task you can squeeze in and complete.…
