- Project Deliverables aren't just dropped into a business unit, and then automatically used by everyone seamlessly. It takes a lot of careful planning, and in fact begins at the same time the project begins. Let's take a look at an example of some people management activities the project manager will need to address to insure readiness for change. Let's say you're managing a project to deliver a new document management system for your organization. In the early stages of the project, you'll need to communicate closely with the business units to clearly define their requirements. Each business unit may have different requirements from the system, like naming conventions or filing structures. So, engaging with the users in these areas will give you a clearer understanding of what they really need.
