From the course: Presentation Tips for Pitching to Investors

Pitching 101

- As a communications advisor who works with many young startups, I can tell you that fundraising is a huge undertaking. There's so much riding on this one meeting but what if something goes wrong? The good news is there's no real hard rule any more, decisions, negotiations, they can happen quickly, oftentimes in the most casual of places or even a coffee shop where all you have to do is pull out your laptop and showcase your products. It's really all about the conversation between you and them, plus an investor can really meet anyone these days. If someone is willing to give you money and believe in your idea, they're an investor. Hi, my name is Jessica Chen, and I'm the founder and CEO of Soulcast Media, a communications and media agency. Working with companies to help simplify their message and get their awesome ideas heard is my passion. I'm so excited to start this course with you because I'm going to give you the insight of what investors want to hear and how you can say it so you can walk away with that check.
