- I recently planned to fix a damaged deck in my house on a weekend, and bought all the tools and materials needed, and even got a friend to agree to help me. So we were all set with our plan, except it rained heavily that day, and we were forced to postpone our little project. Even though our action plan was solid, many plans are often impacted by unforeseen circumstances, and when such changes happen, and a team is involved, it makes good sense to establish a schedule for followup meetings. By establishing periodic followups to your action plan, the people that have committed to getting things done will have the opportunity to share the status with the A3 leader and the rest of the team, and address any changes needed to correct the course of action.
