- I once ran a PMO that was struggling to gain credibility. The leadership team was always complaining that we were out of touch with their needs and didn't understand why projects were being done. They were right. We hadn't been involved early enough to have that understanding. We'd ask to be a part of the planning process, but the executives were used to doing it in a certain way and didn't want to change. In the exercise files I've included a handout that shows how a PMO can contribute to planning and how that leads to their role in project delivery and also in benefits management, which we'll consider in the next video.
