Overview of Triple E model for sustainable change

- When implementing change, announcements and pronouncements by management alone are not enough. They must be backed by what I call infrastructure, infrastructure to enable, empower, and encourage employees to change and succeed going forward. I call this infrastructure my triple-E model for sustainable change. Triple-E: enable, empower, encourage. It's not a very complex model, but you know what, let me just show you. So here we are and here's our model. (ethereal music) First, we can look here at enable. To enable means that the right processes are established and more importantly, these processes are capable enough to enable employees to execute the change with ease. The new or revised processes need to be easier to do than the old ones, period. If not, employees might change at first but when the excitement dies down, they'll just revert to what's comfortable.
