- One of the biggest challenges for a new company is deciding how to properly structure their organization. For many companies, they know that product is important and needs to be a distinctive vision but how does that fit into an org chart? There's a new structure that's the best fit for most modern software companies but before I get into that, let's take a look at traditional org charts. In the past, companies have typically broken their organization into functional divisions that work within themselves. That could be sales, marketing, support and so on.
