- [Host] Now thinking more, a bit, about self-doubt and it popping up, you say that confidence is not the prescription or the answer to self-doubt appearing. Tell us a little bit more about that and what is. - [Guest] Yeah, well, just as we were talking about before, if confidence isn't coming and if the inner critic is always going to be speaking up when we are on the edge of our comfort zone, we certainly don't want to wait on confidence to do our most important work, and instead of looking for aiming for confidence, I believe we need a new relationship with our self-doubt, and so that has a couple components. The first is being aware when you are hearing your inner critic. For so many of us, the inner critic is the background noise that we live with, it's the music that has been playing in our head for a long time. We don't even hear it anymore. It's the water that we're swimming in. It's like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.…
