(upbeat music) - [Instructor] You care about meaning and fulfillment, but you also want to make top dollar. Don't create a false dichotomy here. Money and meaning are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they're linked. - [Instructor] You're planning on making a big impact in your new role, and you deserve to be well-compensated for that. - [Instructor] Unfortunately, a lot of times, job offer negotiations are often reduced down to just the dollars, and that leaves both sides feeling kind of shallow. But it doesn't have to be this way. - [Instructor] When you look at a potential job offer, you should ensure you're being compensated fairly based on the value you're bringing to the organization, your experience, and how similar other positions have been compensated at other organizations. If and when you do ask for a salary bump, cite your value first. Talk about what you can do for the organization and how much that's worth.…
