- Just the other day, I ran into a former colleague. We exchanged pleasantries and talked a bit about what we were up to lately. Turns out he just started working for someone that I had a terrible experience with. I couldn't shut up about my bad experience, and negative thoughts on the department he was now working in. He sort of smiled and changed the subject and immediately I realized Oh my gosh, why did I just prattle on for so long, just full of negativity? We ended the convo shortly thereafter and needless to say it was awkward. I have sort of been chuckling to myself about it because it was such an obvious trap to fall into.
