My favorite icebreakers
- So I know that sometimes when you go to these larger networking events, that it can be really intimidating, and I find it so helpful to just have a few icebreakers up your sleeve that you can kind of refer to when you need them. So, here's a slide that shows you a handful of them. I'm not going to read through all of them actually, but the one I like the most, that always works for me, is to ask what are you working on right now that you're excited about? I think that's always a really good one, because it could be a project that they're working on at work, or it might be a community service thing, or maybe more of a personal project. So, I think it's a much broader, more open way to start the conversation. I also particularly like this icebreaker, because it crosses industries and generations, and really just goes right to the person. (pleasant music)
