- I'm going to throw out a few names here. Apple, Walmart, Amazon. You probably have opinions about all of these companies, but one thing is certain. You know who they are and you know what they're about. Apple is known for innovation. Walmart has low prices. And Amazon is a place online where you can buy just about anything. You know what they're about because they're clear about their mission both inside and outside of the company and they deliver on it. Your mission is what your company hopes to achieve, but not what your company actually produces for the customer. Let's use Amazon as an example. When they launched in '95, their mission statement was to be Earth's most customer-centric company where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online and endeavor to offer its customers the lowest possible prices.
