- So some of the things that we, as venture capitalists look at when we're determining whether or not it's a viable business for funding is your metrics of your success. And one of the key metrics of success is revenues because that shows us that the dogs are eating the dog food. That you actually have a solution to a problem. If you're building a business that is direct to consumer, or what we call B to C, sometimes some of those metrics of success could be daily active users, monthly active users. You may not have revenues for your business, but you might have a lot of attention and attention could translate at some point into revenues or what we call monetizing the business. But if it's a business to business company that you're building, we're going to want to look for customers for the customer contracts.
