- Like any skill, public speaking is something you can improve, if you're willing to invest some time and put in the effort. Set some goals for yourself. The next time you're presenting don't try to address everything I've covered in this course. Instead, focus on one or two things you really want to improve. Once those feel more natural you can try to move on to a couple more. Get feedback on your public speaking skills, from trusted colleagues, members of the audience or even a coach. Rather than asking a broad question like, how did my talk go? Ask something specific or ask for two things you should try to improve the next time you present. Keep studying best practices.
