Managing project teams

- When we're managing a project, we're really managing a team, and teams are made up of individuals, so in order to be successful as a project manager, you need to understand how to motivate the people you work with to be their best. And you need to help them work together effectively. In this course, I've introduced you to ten different tools that are common in the business world. Depending on where you work, you may find that some of those tools are already part of your corporate culture. If your company doesn't use any of these tools, then you can choose whichever ones seem like they'd add the most value. You might also check with your Human Resources department to see whether they have access to assessments or training resources that you could use. I think there are three good reasons for project managers to learn about personality and team management tools. They can help you understand yourself better, you can use them to better understand your colleagues, and you can use them to help your colleagues understand themselves and one another. To explore more ways to build high performing teams, check out my other courses in the library, and please, follow me on LinkedIn and Twitter if you'd like to share the work that you're doing, and learn more about the things that I'm working on. Projects are the key to helping businesses adapt and survive, so your job as a project manager is really important. Keep up the great work that you're doing to make yourself, your team, and your company successful, and I look forward to connecting with you online.
