Managing performance problems

- If you are a manager of very many people for very long, you will have someone who isn't meeting their performance goals or standards. Even if you have a team of rock stars, there will be performance gaps you need to help people close. Often, this is the part of the job that managers want to avoid or wish away, but to become a manager that you want and need to be, you must learn how to and be willing to help with performance problems. Here's some advice to help you get started and be successful. First, make sure the standards are clear. I mean, how can people meet a standard or expectation if they don't know what it is?
