- My view of ethical performance management with my team is to pay attention to everybody. I don't want to spend an inordinate amount of time with a poor performer trying to rescue them, to use the term I used earlier, and ultimately do that to the detriment of the people that are performing solidly. They could also use support and the ability to grow, not to mention also to support the excellent performers that we have talked about earlier. So, that to me is the ethics of performance management, is to make sure that you are managing your team and the people within that team and the business mission that that team has, right? So it's not a lack of compassion for your poor performers, it is compassion for all of your people and your business mission put together and distributed, you know, as equally as you possibly can. When it comes down to performance in general, and managing performance and creating this ethical, equal treatment of your team as a whole, I really think about this and…
