Manage your product lifecycle
- The phases of research, plan, build, release, refine and retire form a single cycle for your product. But for many projects, you will repeat this process multiple times. Here are some ways to think about handling multiple cycles. If you take a cycle and unfurl it along a line, each step takes place one after another at each phase along the way, there is a deliverable that is created which moves the process into the next phase. For a waterfall based lifecycle, you will go through the entire process from research to refine and at the end you'll start the process over again. With each version, model or generation of your product you go through each step to make a better, stronger or more valuable product for your customer. But for agile based lifecycles, the process works a little bit differently, the cycle takes a much shorter amount of time and it's called a sprint. While a waterfall lifecycle could take years, an…
