As the administrator of your LinkedIn Learning account, you have the ability to manage users, including their information and permissions.
- [Instructor] Now that we've added users, let's take a look at how we can manage them. Remember that I'm on the People tab up here at the top and then under the Users section from inside of here. Now down below, will have a list of all of the users that have been added to the account. In the upper right of this box you'll see a dropdown menu for Managing Users. If I click on that I can download all users, filter the users to download them, and I can also download and upload attributes, something we'll look at in another video, but below this we have the different members that have been added.
So in this case one of them is Allen Marcos. Next to this you'll be able to see if they're in any groups, which in this case there is no one added to a group, and then over to the right you can see their license status. So here we have two different ones. Aaron has been invited, but has not yet accepted that invitation. Allen has accepted it so his account is activated. Now if I scroll down here, you'll notice that we also have the two people that we just added in. To the right of their License Status you'll see a three dots icon for each of the members.
Now let's say under Mary's, if I click on the three dots icon, we can do things such as view or edit their profile, we can add them to a group, manage permissions, manage licenses, or send an email right from the platform. I want to take a look at View and Edit Profile. I'll click on this and this'll bring you to that user's profile. In this case it's a very simple one. It just has their name. I do have the ability to customize or change some of this employee information. I can do that by going to Employee Info on the right and then clicking on the pencil icon.
When I do this, I get a popup box allowing me to enter first name, last name, business title, employee ID, and more. The only thing that's required is an email address, but you may want to go in and add some of this other information. When you're done you can click on Save. Now this is important, in this situation, because when I added users in the previous video I added them by email address. So the only thing appearing in here for them is that email address. I want to go in, View/Edit Profile, and for this person I want to add in their name.
This is Alex Cark. I'll click on Save. Going to then back out and we have one more here. View and Edit Profile. I'm going to click on the pencil icon to adjust this and then enter in Brittany Pryce. I'll click Save. Go back to our People icon and now if I refresh this you'll notice that these email addresses have now turned into names.
So we have them inside of here. So again, if you click on that three dots icon you have the ability, again, to add them to groups, manager permissions. Those are things that we will take a look at in other videos. You can manage their licenses. Here if I click on that we can decide if we still want to assign them a license or if we want to revoke a learning license. Notice that if you do revoke a learning license, that all of their history will still be available. However, they will not have access to the learning license moving forward.
I'll click off of that. And then here, because they have not yet accepted it, I can also copy the activation link. So I could copy this and then send it out by email to have them see if they'll accept this invitation for the platform. Now up at the top of this, you'll have here this search bar. Once you begin to have more users on your platform and you need to find them. You can quickly type in a name. It will generate a list of people that it's suggesting. In this case I'll click on Mary and, again, it will bring me to her account.
So this is how you take a look at who the users are on your platform and how you can manage them inside of here.
