Relaxing on the road is not only fun, it also helps you perform better during the day. This video shows how a little planning and good boundaries can give the time needed to truly enjoy business trips. Let's start with how you plan your day. Trips will vary in how many strictly timed events there are, but it's likely that somewhere in there, you'll have some unplanned time. This is the part of the day that you have control over. For the sake of discussion, let's divide such breaks into short ones of under an hour and long ones of an hour or more. Here are some things you could do on short breaks. Small tasks like responding to email and reading the news are prime choices for short breaks because they give you a chance at closure.
