- Stakeholders in a healthcare environment are passionate. I've heard this passion described as focused, determined, change-averse, and egotistical. When you're managing stakeholders in a healthcare environment, be ready to encounter these characteristics and potentially others as well. Healthcare stakeholders are largely like any project stakeholders, with one exception. They're compelled to be extremely focused because they hold lives in their hands at virtually every moment of every day. So diligence when managing these stakeholders is paramount to your success. I have some suggestions on what to emphasize in your stakeholder management plans. First, focus on demonstrations.
