- Having a priority is nice, but you also need detailed plans to implement it. Who's doing it? By when? And how will you know you're making progress at the right pace? You can have great intentions and a great strategy, but if you can't operationalize it it's not going to happen. Here are three things to keep in mind if you want to implement your priorities and achieve your goals. First, you need to break your goals into manageable chunks. If what you have on the to-do list for your team is launch the new product by October that may seem like an almost impossible goal, because it's big and it's amorphous. What does it even mean? For every large initiative you need to ask yourself, what are the different parts? And in what order do they need to be done? For instance, if you're launching a new product one aspect may be obtaining consumer research, so you can understand what people like and don't like about the existing product, so you'll know what you want to put into the new version…
