- By now, I hope it's clear that you have the power to tip the scale towards justice in a world that's still not always fairly judging women. Just keep in mind that being a good ally, also means not centering yourself in the picture. What I mean by that is part of coming to the support of women in your workplace means not necessarily seeing yourself as the hero in their story. You have the opportunity to play the role of a powerful, supporting character. After all, by stepping in to call out micro-aggressions or pass the mic to women, what you're really helping us all do is dismantle a system of injustice one moment at a time. Two books that I highly recommend about navigating workplace inequality are Franchesca Ramsey's hilariously brilliant book, Well, That Escalated Quickly and Rebecca Solnit's book, Men Explain Things to Me.
