Make it fun
(upbeat music) - Think back to a teacher you had in your scholastic life that had a really positive impact on you. Odds are, they found a way to make the subject they were teaching fun. As adults, we have a tendency to separate fun from important when it comes to learning, don't we? 'Cause we think, well, important is vital and fun, well that's kind of, that's kind of silly. That's kind of, you know, something else. But we've seen research that's shown us that really strong retention is associated with really positive emotions, which means we learn better when the learning is fun. But what does is mean to make something fun? What's fun to you might be silly to somebody else. That's where the idea of intent comes in. See, you get credit just for trying to make it fun.
