Make bigger buttons to speed data entry
- [Instructor] Users comment all the time about how small the record navigation tools are in Access forms, especially the new blank record button. To make a bigger button for adding new records or for any other task you might want to perform while in a form, click the command button control on the design tab and then draw a box with your mouse. The Command Button Wizard opens, offering six different categories. And for each one a series of buttons you can add to the form. To demonstrate I'm going to click Add New Record in the Record Operations category. Choose the appearance of the button. I'm choosing text. Type the name of the button again. This simply repeats the button text. Click finish and you've made a new button to replace the tiny new record button. You can move and resize it as needed. Test it by clicking on it while in form view and the form clears out for a new record.
