- Let's say you forged a relationship with a recruiter and that relationship led to a great new job. So what do you do? Do you just say, hey, thanks, and ease on down the road? Well, I will tell you that's exactly what lots of people do, but I would suggest to not squander what could potentially be an exceptional long-term relationship that will benefit both of you for years to come. You know, great recruiters, they're not going to view this as a transactional relationship. They're going to be interested in investing in you, so that if and when you want to make another move, you're going to come right back to them and say, Hey, I'm looking. Now, I will say this as an aside, and this is the case with external recruiters.
