Looking at data by state
- As you're using government data to identify where jobs are, you want to make sure to dial in on some of the state level data, available on the US BLS website. Let's take a look at some of the data and how to navigate it. Now, if you're looking for state level data, the first place you want to go to, is of course the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, website, bls.gov. There are a couple of ways you can navigate to the state data. The first is to use the search bar, you can use that at any time, or under the subjects header, you'll see their state and local employment. Once you click through there, you'll see a lot of different state data, and you can spend all day on this page. There are a couple of things that are kind of most important you should know about.
