Leveraging a personal brand
- People buy and follow people, period. They just don't follow products. They don't follow services. It's for this reason that now more than ever to create a buzz, you need to have a strong personal brand. When you use your personal brand, you open the door to so many more opportunities, awards, press and exposure. If you just use your company's brand, you will always sound like a commercial and the audience will tune out. They don't want to hear from your product or your service. They don't want to be sold. Think about it, do you want to hear from Tesla or do you want to hear from Elon Musk? The point is, when you build up a strong personal brand, you can communicate to your audience more regularly while subtly informing them about your company.
