- Every successful person has had at least one role model or mentor to help guide them and point them in the right direction. Bill Gates has always been one of my role models, and the advice in the many books and articles he has written has helped me to improve my skills as both an entrepreneur and as a leader. Let's face it. You cannot succeed alone. And why would you want to? As you work to succeed in your career, you'll face all kinds of new situations and challenges about which you may have limited, or even no, prior experience or knowledge.
