    I enjoyed this course because Fran Hauser illuminated common tropes about how kindness equates to weakness and how our every day language (always apologizing instead of thanking folks for their patience) contributes to weakening our own voice/confidence/autonomy/skillsets. One figure that constantly surprises me that she mentioned is how women usually only consider apply to a job if they have 100% of the skillsets and experience required vs. when men apply to a job if they can see their how their skillsets and experience covers 60% of the job responsibilities. I appreciated her perspective on how to balance a mentor role if you have many mentees and suggested a roundtable meeting to support mentee development, network, rapport-building, and calendar efficiency! I recommend this course.
